College Retreat 2026
Steadfast Pursuit"Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing." -James 1:2-4
October 30 - November 1, 2026
This college retreat is intended to be a time for self-reflection, spiritual growth, and fostering deeper relationships with other college students in our Journey Church community. This is an opportunity to take a meaningful pause and be refreshed in the truth of who God is. All are invited to come experience what it looks like to steadfastly pursue God in the midst of the various trials that life throws our way.

SPEAKER BIO
Hansub Lee serves as the College Pastor at Kairos Church in San Diego. He spent most of his life in the Bay Area and committed his life to God in 5th grade. In his earlier years, he went on multiple mission trips to Mexico, Guatemala, and Turkey. This exposure to the world led him to pursue an education in public health science with the intent to work in the health field in Central America. Although he had the opportunity to experience life working in the health field in India and El Salvador, he began discerning that God was calling him to vocational ministry. He began his ministry journey as an intern youth pastor. While later serving at a church plant in San Jose, he began to see his need for training and so he moved down to Orange County in 2017 to attend Talbot Theological Seminary to learn how to become a pastor. However, God had other plans. It turns out he was not so interested in making Hansub the most skilled pastor, but forming him into a whole person restored by the gospel and person of Jesus Christ. From 2017 to 2023, before moving down to San Diego, he ministered at churches in the Greater Los Angeles Area, married Grace, graduated seminary, and became an ordained minister of the gospel. He cares about raising and developing holistic lovers of God. Hansub is definitely more on the serious side, but aside from the serious stuff, his recent interests have been rotating around fragrances, roasting coffee, and reading.
