God gifted each of us with unique talents and skills to build up His body, the church. Joining a Serve Team is also one of the best ways to meet and get to know new people.

"...even as the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve,
and to give his life as a ransom for many.”

Matthew 20:28

“As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God's varied grace ...whoever serves, as one who serves by the strength that God supplies — in order that in everything God may be glorified through Jesus Christ.”

1 Peter 4:10-11

Building Care

We exist to glorify God by providing a clean and welcoming environment for the communal church. Anyone can join — whether you’re a college or singles/family member. Main opportunities to serve include vacuuming on Friday nights after prayer room and on Saturday afternoons. Hours are flexible and time commitment is low. We also provide training to vacuum in very satisfying patterns.

Our mission is to display the beauty of Christ to motivate people to want to know God and participate in His body. We use media to promote church events and create a sense of community. We run Journey's Instagram and Facebook pages, create flyers, provide photography and videography, and organize promotional campaigns for church events.

We organize events (e.g. Labor Day Picnic, retreats) that bring together the body of the church and those in our community. We are looking for people who are passionate about logistics and event planning to join our team!

We help manage and steward the church's financial resources so that our community can make the most of what God has blessed us with. We are looking for individuals to assist with offering counting and expense/accounting management. No experience necessary! Hours are flexible and time commitment is around 1-2 hours a week. (Please note: only Eastside singles & families members can join this team.)

We feed the body of the church and provide for the needs of the community around us. On Sunday mornings at College Service: join us to serve refreshments after service. On Sunday afternoons at Eastside: we host Eat & Meet lunches once a month before service.

We serve as a channel of communication for the church body. The presider transitions the congregation smoothly from worship to prayer to the Word. The presider also represents a voice of our church to those who don't yet believe in Christ and is the first face to welcome those who are seeking into our community. We're currently recruiting presiders for our 1:30 PM Sunday gathering. No public speaking experience is necessary!

We produce a quality worship experience accessible to those with spatial and temporal limitations. We're currently looking to build out a college site team. No previous experience needed!

We empower the church to fulfill the Great Commission. Our team builds and sustains relationships with local and foreign missions partners, prepares teams for missions trips, and strive to bridge the gap between followers of Christ and the work of evangelism beyond.

Our members serve by dedicating their talents to help maintain the church website, act as technical guidance, and plan out future endeavors to modernize the church's digital space. No major technical expertise required, but instead, members need open minds to volunteer and assist with weekly tasks. Our team is flexible and we will gladly train any who want to serve the church through digital means!

We organize and provide rides for our wonderful college students so that they can attend services, prayer nights, retreats, and other special events! We are looking for more drivers who are willing to serve in this manner. This team also helps with regular van maintenance. Team members either drive the church vans or their own cars. Training will be provided – members only need to have a regular driver's license.

We desire to share God’s love to anyone who walks through our doors through ushering and connecting with people, especially during Sunday gatherings and other events. We pray that everyone would feel like they are part of our church community. To cultivate that environment, we welcome people, build relationships, and invite those who may not have a community into opportunities to connect with others.

We serve by utilizing music as the medium to invite our congregation into a life of worship. Specifically, we provide worship music for services, prayer meetings, and other corporate events. We also provide technical support for audio and visual display during special events or outreach ministries. We strive to be Biblically rooted, spiritually driven, and musically excellent.
