How it all started...
Journey Church of Atlanta was started in 2004 with a heart for college students. Pastor Matt and a team of six young adults came in faith, connected with students on the campuses, and experienced the movement of God firsthand.
Expanding the vision...
As our church continued maturing, many decided to continue their lives in Atlanta. The need for a separate working adult and family ministry became evident. Eastside, our singles and families ministry, was started from that need. Our current lead pastor, Dandy Mejias, joined Journey Church in 2016 to minister to young adults. Since then, our community has grown with more married couples, families, children and youth, and college students.
Where we are headed...
Our church believes in missional living and follows the Great Commission: “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit." - Matthew 18:19
God has been faithful in providing opportunities to love our neighbors and spread the gospel to those around us and also overseas. It has been amazing to witness God’s power to transform lives both in our church and local communities.
