Jaewon Shin
Pastoral Intern
Jaewon was born in South Korea and moved to California at age 6, before relocating to Georgia for college, where he studied Business Administration at Emory University.
He began attending church in 3rd grade, started taking his faith more seriously in high school, and then fell deeply in love with Jesus during his sophomore year of college. Jaewon first received his call to ministry the summer before his senior year of college, but felt the Lord calling him to be patient — spending the next two years in a season of preparation, interning part-time with Journey while finishing college, then working for the Atlanta Hawks after graduation. After a little over a year of working, he accepted his call to full-time ministry.
Now, alongside serving on Journey's staff, Jaewon is studying at Reformed Theological Seminary for his Master of Divinity. He's forever grateful to serve God and His people daily, sharing the gospel that continues to shape him every day. Outside of ministry, he loves playing basketball, cooking, reading, nature walks, and taking film photos.
