Passion Week

Walk with us through Jesus’s journey to the cross in our Sunday services and special events during this year’s Passion Week.

Palm Sunday

Sunday, April 13th - 1:30PM at Peachtree Baptist Church

So they took branches of palm trees and went out to meet him, crying out, "Hosanna! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord, even the King of Israel!" - John 12:13 ESV

Join us for celebration as we begin Passion Week with Palm Sunday, the day when Jesus entered Jerusalem. Come witness God's work in the lives of our very own church members through testimonies and baptism.

Maundy Thursday

Thursday, April 17th - 7:30PM in Family Groups

Now as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and after blessing it broke it and gave it to the disciples, and said, “Take, eat; this is my body.” And he took a cup, and when he had given thanks he gave it to them, saying, “Drink of it, all of you, for this is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins. I tell you I will not drink again of this fruit of the vine until that day when I drink it new with you in my Father's kingdom."
- Matthew 26:26-29, ESV

On this day that symbolizes Jesus' final Passover with the disciples, we will gather in our Family Groups to discuss His final hours before being taken away by sharing dinner and meditating over passages.

During this week, Family Groups will not meet from Sunday to Wednesday and will only gather on Thursday to commemorate this day. If you are not in a Family Group but would like to be placed in one for Maundy Thursday, please register through the event link by Friday, April 11th.

Good Friday

Friday, April 18th - 8:00PM at Peachtree Baptist Church

Then Jesus, calling out with a loud voice, said, "Father, into your hands I commit my spirit!" And having said this he breathed his last. - Luke 23:46 ESV

In place of our usual prayer room, we will commemorate the day Jesus died on the cross for us with a special message and time of reflection.

Resurrection Sunday

Sunday, April 20th - 1:30PM at Peachtree Baptist Church

But the angel said to the women, "Do not be afraid, for I know that you seek Jesus who was crucified. He is not here, for he has risen, as he said. Come, see the place where he lay." - Matthew 28:5-6 ESV

He has risen! Come celebrate the resurrection of Jesus and the new life we have in Him.

If you would like to join a small group for a post-service supper, please register through the event link by Wednesday, April 16th.
