January 16 - 18, 2026
This retreat is intended to be a time for self-reflection, spiritual growth, and fostering deeper relationships with others in our Journey Church Eastside community. This is an opportunity to take a meaningful pause and be refreshed in the truth of who God created you to be. All are invited to come experience what it means to walk in faithfulness.

SPEAKER BIOS

Mike Park was born in South Korea and moved to the United States in 1985. He received his MDiv and DMin at Covenant Theological Seminary. He pastored The Crossing Church, a multi-ethnic congregation in St. Louis, MO, before moving to Washington, DC, to serve as an associate pastor at Grace. Mike is married to Grace, and they have four children, Lydia, Hannah, James and Daniel.
John Chung is a Teaching Elder in the PCA. After graduating from Covenant Seminary, he served in multiple cross-cultural church and missions ministries, with a particular focus on next generation ministry and church revitalization. He has served on staff in multiple churches around St. Louis and in Washington D.C. With his varied experiences, John desires to help raise up a generation of ministry-minded leaders who will be equipped for a lifetime of ministry. He is married to Saras. Together, they have two amazing children.

FAQ

Q: Will transportation be provided? 

A: Yes! When registering, please indicate whether you have a car or need a ride. Then, you will receive an email the week of the retreat with details of your driver and pickup location. Please contact events@journeychurchatl.com if your transportation needs change.

Q: What if I have dietary restrictions?

A: No problem! Just indicate any allergies and/or restrictions on the registration form. 

Q: Will there be childcare provided?

A: Yes! We will have a separate Children’s Retreat (6 months - elementary school) and a Youth Retreat (middle & high school) the entire weekend. Our Education Director and Children’s Coordinator will reach out to you with more details if you sign your child(ren) up for the retreat.

Q: What should I bring? Does the facility provide linens, toiletries, etc.?

A: You’ll receive an email with a detailed packing list the week of the retreat. The Ridges Resort is like a regular hotel, so it does provide linens, towels, shampoo/conditioner, but you will need to bring your personal toiletries (e.g. toothbrush, toothpaste).

Q: Will we be allowed to leave the Ridges grounds during the weekend?

A: Yes, during free time, please feel free to explore the area around the Ridges with other Journey members.

Q: What if I cannot attend one of the days?

A: We would still love for you to join us, however the cost will remain the same. Please email events@journeychurchatl.comto give us a heads up.

Q: I can no longer attend. Can I receive a refund?

A: We are sorry to hear you can no longer make it! Your registration can be canceled and you will receive a full refund up to one week before the retreat start date (January 9, 2026). After that point, we can no longer issue a refund. Please reach out to events@journeychurchatl.com if you need to cancel your registration.
